Emerging Artist Bursary winner 2026

I was thrilled to have been chosen as one of the Devon Open Studio's Emerging Artist Bursary winners this year.

The bursaries are aimed at those taking their first steps into professional arts practice, returning to creative practice after a career break or change, or currently taking their art in a new direction.

The award aims to nurture and encourage new talent to take the next steps in their career by helping to fund their participation in this prestigious event.

In September I joined 10 other wonderful artists The White Room Creative Space in Crediton where I had my first opportunity to show my artwork to a wider audience. It was lovely connecting with so many interesting people and having some realy useful discussions about what I make, why and how.
